Breaking the Siege in Gaza Part Two The international outrage over the flotilla killing brought unprecedented attention to the four-year blockade of Gaza. The impact of the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign is being felt throughout the world as Israel shows signs of releasing its stranglehold on Gaza. Jason Bechtel and Hany El Saidany, local San Diego activists, discuss their perspectives on the flotilla and its aftermath. Bechtel had recently returned from two weeks in Palestine as part of a delegation of Interfaith Peace Builders. He was in the West Bank during and after the attack on the Freedom Flotilla and was able to participate in protest/solidarity demonstrations in Ramallah and Sakhnin. Hany El Saidany has ties with family in Gaza. He participated in the Viva Palestina Convoy to Gaza in December 2009. This event was sponsored by the San Diego Socialist Organization.
