My Early Years in Occupied Palestine: Archbishop Elias Chacour

Archbishop Elias Chacour, three time Nobel Peace Prize nominee and founder the Mar Elias Educational Institutions. His early life was during the English Mandate of Palestine and afterward when his family was forced from their home and village in 1948. His story is a poignant one full of drama and personal hardships, depicting a far different picture of events during and following the 1948 war between Israelis and Arabs in Palestine. This segment captures a compelling story of all the Israeli government did to thwart the completion of this school for disadvantaged Palestinians. It is followed with an interview with Archbishop Chacour covering a number of topics on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. (Part One of Two).
